Adults aged 21 and over can legally possess, purchase, and consume cannabis in New York State. The law allows possession of up to 3 ounces of cannabis flower or 24 grams of concentrate for personal use. Consumption is permitted anywhere smoking tobacco is allowed—except in cars, schools, or workplaces that prohibit it.
